A 15-minute appetizer you can make ahead without worry: Eden Gold slices oxidise slowly, staying pale and crisp far longer than other pears.
Eden Gold stays crunchy – even grilled, baked or caramelized. Where other pears turn soft, Eden Gold keeps its signature bite.
Ingredients (makes 12)
- 1 baguette, sliced and lightly toasted
- 150 g cream cheese or fresh goat cheese
- 1 Eden Gold pear, in thin crisp slices
- Honey and fresh thyme
Method
- Spread each toast with cheese and top with a slice of Eden Gold.
- Drizzle with honey and scatter thyme leaves.
- Variant: swap the honey and thyme for prosciutto and blue cheese.
